Chimpotle Posted October 23, The guitar goes through something before it gets into logic. What is your guitar plugged into? If its an interface, turn down the input. If your going right into your mac, open the controls for the audio and turn down the input. The signal going into logic is already clipped.

Whatevers between your guitar and logic needs to be turned down. With 24 bit recording the dynamic range is high enough not to have to worry too much about getting a hot signal. It is better to leave plenty of headroom and not get any clipping. If the signal clips, Limiter reduces the level before clipping can occur. Limiter cannot, however, fix audio that is clipped during recording.

Input meters: Show input levels in real time. The Margin field shows the highest input level. Click the Margin field to reset it. Output meters: Show output levels of the limited signal. The Margin field shows the highest output level.
