Day Trip to Tafraouat

The berber Town.

Tafraout (or Tafraoute) is a small Berber town of the mountains of the Anti-Atlas of Morocco, located almost two hundred kilometers from Agadir, in the south of Morocco. Nestled in the Ammeln valley, this picturesque little town is surrounded by pink granite mountains with their famous colors.

Perched 1000 meters above sea level, Tafraout is renowned for its palm grove where orchards of almond and olive trees grow. With its unique fauna and flora, it is an exceptional tourist destination, which makes it possible to discover one of the cradles of the Amazigh culture and the “”Ammeln”” tribe.

In the spring, all the almond trees of the Tafraout valley are in bloom, and the spectacle is great for lovers of hiking and excursions, who will be seduced by the exceptional wild nature and small villages in the vicinity of Tafraout: Agadir Izri, Agni Izimmer, Ait Wafka, Ammeln, Anfg, Aymour, Ida Ousemlal, Izerbi and Tahala.
